Hotel rooms

I love going away on my own for a few days... away from home, hubby & kids!! I enjoy the peace... the bliss of reading a book and sipping my coffee... hearing the birds chirp... and listening to the far way waters and waves of the sea.. 

One such gorgeous hotel is the Ras Al Khaimah Hilton... This is my favourite getaway from Dubai... Its kid friendly as well... and the hotel room is simply gorgeous... 

This time around, Ididn't stay at the main hotel... I stayed at the chalets... and the rooms were simply gorgeous....

I love hotel rooms... for so many reasons... Always so neat, clean and clutter free... You can leave the room in a mess, but its all made up perfectly when you return back... *smiles*...

Specially when you travel on your own...



I have the TV to myself... I never switch it on... but its there to my disposal... *grins*... and its MINE...

The sofas are always empty... the tables are clear... ALWAYS...

Oh.. and in this room, the lights stole my heart... specially this one... that was hanging low in the middle of the two beds... What a lovely idea...

*sigh*... now back to reality... I'm writing this post after clearing the entire home... my back, shoulder and neck hurts... but its the closest it can get to a hotel room... *sigh*... but it won't remain this way tomorrow... 

The joys of being a 'mom'... The total miracle called life.... *smiles*... But thats the fun.. isn't it ...

Cinnamon Lodge, Habarana

I’m so looking forward to my two day break away from home… & most of all away from furniture planning!! I love being on my own in hotel rooms… (for not more than two nights)!! Revive myself by reading few books that I’ve been looking at forever…. Indulge in warm waters, scented oils… with fragrant candles & flowers!! That’s what I’m going to be doing!!

Here is me dreaming of my hotel in Sri Lanka. Don’t know if you’ve read my post on Habarana?? !! We stayed at the Cinnamon Lodge.

I had a few really pretty pictures, but I cant seem to find them… so for now.. you’ll just have to live with these… I love when there is a pillar in the room…

Dark brown furniture … with an aesthetic touch makes me feel at home. Can you see the ceiling wooden strips??

I was super impressed by the door to the bathroom…. It was glass.. and looked like this...

The candles & scents inside paved way for the mood to be set in right..

And when the lights were on inside, the reflection on the wall looked stunning. The photo does not do justice to the way it really looked.

Cinnamon Lodge is an amazing place… calm, serene and very green. Its time to get lost in nature! I'll post more pictures of the exterior & pool area of this hotel... It is indeed stunning!!! Bye for now... and hope you guys are gearing up for the weekend!!
