Round Mirrors - Part 2

Seems that I'm not the only one with a penchant for round mirrors, especially over a fireplace. Desire to Inspire recently posted images from Toronto designer Jennifer Worts' portfolio and lo and behold there were no less than six images with round (or oval) mirrors in various rooms including bathrooms. These rooms are beautiful, layered, neutral yet convey a bit of the unexpected. I love, love, love them!

Round Mirrors

There is something beautiful and simple about round mirrors that I love. I think they look particularly stunning over a fireplace and I sometimes recommend this to my clients. I think it is because a round mirror softens the hard lines of a fireplace, as well as any adjacent windows, bringing relief to the eye. Over my own fireplace I have had one large piece of art and then two black and white photos in black frames but nothing feels as right as a round mirror.
