To start this series.... is my friend ~ Anamika's home.....



She painted a few walls... and added colour and glamour to her home... A home tour to follow soon.... But for now... Here is the magic of painting a wall...

To compliment her living room walls... She got a new rug....  Which looks totally stunning!!

Ana has got a few pretty corners with lamps, lights, tea lights, candles, etc.... I'll show you those in a home tour next month....

Makeover series ~ Rugs

So tell me what you think about 'Rugs'? Do you have rugs at home?

Area rugs can change the feel of any room. They can also be used to define spaces and bring a burst of colour and style to any room. Rugs are generally perfect for dining rooms, living rooms, foyers, etc. However, using rugs creatively can further enhance the personality of any area. Use rugs of varying colours, sizes and shapes, dependent on space and style.

Have you tried using mats instead of rugs? That's something I need to venture into....

Splash of colour

... I'm mental about rugs... Sorry... I'm actually mental about a lot of things in life... *smiles*... No.. No.. I'm only kidding... I got the purple one first... coz it looked gorgeous.. The photograph does not do any justice to how pretty that rug actually is.. The design has an embossed effect... with a little bit of glitter... Its very pretty!! Hence... although it didn't fit in with my 'lotus' theme... I got her home!! *smiles*...

The I found the red one... Its plain red... with a gorgeous shimmer !! This was for my gazebo upstairs... Although I had it in the living room for Christmas (pic below)...

Now the truth... Bumble (my new baby)... has misused the rug ... a few times!! I don't have to tell you what he's been upto!! While I'm trying to get it laundered... and back to normal (I hope).. I quickly picked the green one.... which perfectly blends with my 'lotus' theme... but isn't the right size...

So which one do you like??

I painted one dining room red and I must say,

the conversation became very heated in that room.
