You saw the painted wall last week... Teal in my bedroom... *smiles* !! We've painted one wall teal... Now.. I simply can't decide what colour would blend in with my teal wall... for furnishing, accessories and maybe some additional work on the wall..

Weekend Wrap Up - Wk 43

Hello my lovelies... so how have you been?? Do you think I should rename the weekend wrap up?? I had a few comments and emails, from you... stating you'd like to link in more than just your weekend happenings... That sounds awesome!! So what should I call it??



Oh.. Here is our new pet... Betty.. She was found in our garden, and has decided she belongs there.. The girls totally love her, so have built her this little cardboard home.. One of the boxes is painted by Yva.. and one by Sims.. So now, we have Bumble.. and Betty... What do you think??

Oh.. and I got this from Phuket.. What do you think?? Isn't it so so pretty.. I dont really like where I've placed it at the moment.. *sigh*..

It was also my cousin's birthday... so we had a fabulous time... From swimming, to shopping, to dinner... *sigh*... Where do my weekends disappear!!!

Weekend Wrap Up - Wk 40

Yay!! I've finally made it to the Weekend Wrap Up.. and have more or less decided to continue with it.. *sigh*

By the time you read this, I'll be on holiday.... But here is my Thursday happenings..



The whole of this week.. was catch up with friends week... I met a friend of chai & dinner early in the week... then met one for lunch... then visited another friends house.. who I didn't see for 5 years even though we live in the same city *sigh*... And finally on Thursday... I met two more absolutely mental friends for chai & sandwiches..

I don't know about you... but I am a 'chai' lover.. Saying that.. I totally love coffee too *smiles*.. What to do.. so many choices in life.. tuff!! *sigh*

The above pic... is... Fruit tea... and below is my cutting Chai at Tea Junction!!

Then they have awesome Zafraani Chai as well...

So how was your weekend?? Was it as relaxed as mine... !! Thanks to Vasu of Cherishing Spaces I'm now hooked on to mood boards.... Here is the first one I made... with the lotus theme colours (pink & green), just like my home! Do you see any resemblance?? *grin* Well I'm working on one more mood board to submit for the contest on Cherishing Spaces!! *sigh* Have you sent in your entries??

So in between coffees, dinner with cousin, lunch (all you can eat)... with my brother... I went shopping... And I found this... What do you think??

Oh and I had another thought... Do you really enjoy the weekend wrap up?? Would you like this to continue?? I'm taking a two week break and will be back in August... Saything that, there will still be posts on the blog.. And this voting on the side bar will be open till 1st August. So tell me honestly what you think??

My thoughts, its a bit of a night mare to update on Sunday... after I come from work and remember to click pics on the weekend.. I do love the linky parties and will carry on the monthly ones..

Weekend Wrap Up - Wk 38

That is truly 'me'!! This was a long weekend... we had Thursday off as well.. But its never enough!! 'never'!! :-)

Thursday went passed me... like it never existed.. Most of this weekend was spent shopping and packing for mom, dad & kids to go away for a few days.. I'm so super excited.. this also means.. I have a 'to-do' list ready.. of cleaning, sorting and clearing... *sigh*...

Saturday was spent... sorting out some parts of my so called 'yard'.. Thanks to Bumble, we have to move a few pots... to the little green patch at the side... or the our back yard.. Which means, we've moved these duckies too..... The white picket fence in the first pic stops him from venturing here.. *smiles* which means.. my duckies are finally safe !!

Have you seen my dwarfs... I got these from Sydney last October... They were four of them... Bumble broke two... *smiles*..

And there are a few blooms...

And while... I tried to maintain the greens... and keep everything tidy... and make the front porch 'Bumble free'... *sigh*... my hubby.. cooked .. Chicken with coriander.. This is how it looks.. It was yummm... yummm... *smiles*

The week ahead.. is going to be busy at work... with month end, re-budgets smiling at us.. *sigh*... And at home.. its going to be 'cleaning and de-cluttering' one room at a time... *smiles*.. I simply cant wait..

Hello my lovelies!! Did you have a fabulous weekend?? What did you do?? Party all night!! or quiet dinner with friends? or did you meet a friend for coffee?? Was it raining in your part of the world?? Did you dance in the rain? or enjoy some pakoras with your chai?? *sigh*

My life seems like its on one big roller coaster ride at the moment... Between spending time with the girls... the rest of the family... friends... hectic work... home... kids parties... I've lost the time... *sigh* Yes!! I simply don't know where my weekend disappears... I really don't!!

I know I haven't visited your blogs... or seen what you've been upto!! But I'll be back soon.. I promise.. For now... I've only been managing the odd 5 or 10 mins to update the blog and do a quick post... And the fabulous CD team... seemed to have taken some of my stress away!! Thank you girls!! *sigh*

Rama's yummy weekend!!

Rama joins in for the weekend wrap up... with Sunday yummies!! *smiles*

She blogs at Time, Time, I have all the time.. So join me.. as I'm headed to Rama's house for lunch...

Puliodarai or Tamrind rice, a delicacy of Karnataka, with its own special flavor of dry coconut, sesame powder and groundnuts. To go with it... Tomato and Cucumber Raita

Dahi wada made in the north Indian style with all the extra fitting like, special sweet chutney made of jaggery, dates and tamarind, and all the dry chatpatta dry chat masalas to go with it.

The mandatory Curd rice without which no authentic south Indian can say that the meal is over

For dessert Mango Kulfi.

Although the menu looks very simple, but it is not so easy doing everything by yourself especially on a Sunday when it is a holiday for the maid. So apart from cooking a simple looking meal (yet with lots of detail going into it), I had to the additional responsibility of washing vessels, keeping the house tidy before the guests arrived for lunch and get ready too.

Plus I couldn't resist a photo session of the meal I had cooked so lovingly.

So husband was dragged to take some good as well as not so good pictures!!

Weekend Wrap Up - Wk 34

Oh.. the joys of a lovely Friday... ... For a change in my life... I spent an hour in the gym of Friday morning... followed by an hour in the pool.. *sigh* I desperately need to lose weight ... and get on with the a healthier living.. I know all the details of how and why?? But its simply not on my priority list... *grin*

We toured around a few malls on Friday... and Saturday... treating ourselves for the summer with new clothes, shoes, crocs, flip flops.... and all the other stuff girls need desperately to prepare for summers... *smiles*... Yes.. the three of us are a bit extravagant... Thankfully we don't it too often..

And in between all this... the little moments I had.. I spent with the book in the first image... I've read it a few times... But for some reason.. this week.. I just feel like reading it again.. sitting with it... holding it... browsing thru it... reading it... *sigh*

Don't you just love the detailing on the wood in the top image?? I do... I can sit and look at it endlessly... *smiles*...

Oh.. and Saturday the girls bunked ballet class... *grin*... to go shopping... We don't do that .... at all!!! I simply wasn't in the mood to do anything... which resulted in going shopping... Retail therapy is truly the BEST!!
