A blog addict (mommy blogs, crafty blogs, decor blogs) which are inspiration for the bits of stuff I have done in my home!!

These shelves are from Fab India. The minute I saw them, I knew I wanted them. These are the only ones hubby & I agreed to pick up immediately.... without any arguments!! I love the way, they hold the bits and bobs of whatever little I have collected and like to show off...

And Swapna... I love the wall clock in the back ground.. Your home is lovely.. thank you for being part of Colours Dekor...

The shelf has all my favourite things - books, magazines, favourite prints, Ikat, etc and I wanted to try my hand at styling a bookshelf so as to make it appealing to the eye.... I sure hope that's what I've done!!

.... so you've seen how the entrance looks... and you've seen how it looks as soon as I open the door for you...

Now I'm showing you my priced possession!! *smiles*

My hubby (and I)... love music.... He loves to collect CDs... only problem is.. I never had a good storage space.. Yes!! the modern CD racks... don't turn me on.. *grins*... I'd stop hubby from buying CDs... If he went to the counter with 10... I'd coax him into buying one... *smiles* .. He is nice like that..!! on the rare occassions..!! *smiles*

And when I saw this gorgeous piece... at Pinkys... I simply had to bring it home... *sigh*

The Pinky's dude even put a few extra shelves for me... which helped me convert this into a CD rack... I got it home.. without even thinking of where to place it... Then one weekend.. we shuffled... re-arranged... re-organised.... literally moved everything around... to make a home for this.. It someone didn't fit in the main living room.... *sigh*

So now.. I have it.. right at the entrance of the house... Yes!! As soon as you walk in... People often wonder why I have such a gorgeous shoe rack... but I don't keep shoes at the entrance of my home.. I simply cant do that!!

So do you like my new favourite ??? What if there were peacocks on it.. instead of horses.. *sigh*.. Now I'm asking for too much... *smiles*

Shelf Stories ~ Harshi

And now... here are her shelf stories ~ ~

I had these 2 tiny shelves for the longest time... in their cartons and no place to go for the past 3 years or so! Did finally decide to put them to use in the bedroom to stack personal items as its placed next to the dresser.

However, eventually ended up putting up knick-knacks to pretty it up and the personal items went into the drawers. Nice, closed and less cluttered. I now like to change these up once in a while, and below are images of 2 vignettes on these tiny shelves.

I totally love the little changes that Harshi has done to create magic with these shelves... Absolutely stunning....
