Garden Party ~ 1

Yes.. Yes.. I know!! I'm still talking about this garden party... Well coming back from holiday, right into year end... I have no clue how we pulled this one off... As usual thanks to my lovely elves... But above all .. I had three of my girlies friends... so a total of five kids who made this happen...

I love to involve kids.. The younger two, made cup cakes, decorated them, helped set up the sweets table... and then made these lovely sandwiches...

While, the older kids made the decor, put them up and even organised games...

Here is Sims and her best friend Esha making the welcome banner for the front door.... *smiles*

Don't you think this is so cute?

Everyone was super impressed with this...

Oh.. and then the girls made Yva's name for an outdoor banner... and for a game...

For one of the game... they cut out many Yvonne's and hid them around the party area... And they sent all the kids on a 'Yvonne hunt'... It was lovely to see the kids running around, looking under the chairs, over the bushes... *laughs*... Was a lovely party...

Yes.. I simply love hosting these for my girlies... They don't need much at all.... I have the same decorations that I use in different places or with slight variations... and reuse every year... Kids don't need much to bring a smile on their faces...

Sweets for my sweet

Talking about 'Made with Love'... this is what I put together for my little girls 7th birthday in March... I simply love decorating every corner of my home... and if its topped with chocolate or goodies... then its a win win situation... *smiles*

... what do you think of these little picks?? You know I love colours...

Cup cakes were made and decorated by my girlies and their friends..

Here is Yva and her best friend Paavani decorating the cup cakes... I love involving the kids...

Don't you think they've done a fabulous job?

Oh.. and I got this new chair... so I simply had to use it... *smiles*

And since it was a garden theme party... here is a little blue water can...

Oh.. and I converted my chai glasses to lollypop holders... I sure hope you liked this attempt of mine... I was totally running out of time.. and gathered everything around the house to put this together..

And now that you are here... don't forget to join our Monthly 'Made with Love' party.. I'm linking this too.. *smiles*

The Weekly Story ~ wk 77

While I spent most of this weekend, cleaning, clearing and sorting... there were no pretties to show you pictures .... *smiles*...

So while, I'm still talking about Yva's birthday party... and the craft ~ ladybird paper weights... Today, I'm going to show you the centre piece we created...

Since it was a garden party... I wanted to have little pots with paper flowers as centre pieces... *sigh*.. However, like I said... this party was so unplanned... that I didn't have any crepe paper to make flowers...

So we hunted the house down, and found these pin wheels... that then went into the pots... Yva added the umbrellas and lollipops to make them simply perfect...

So what do you think??

And we also found a little garden set, that Sims got from one of her santas this Christmas... We used the gardening tools... and ladybirds.... as decorative items too...

... do you like the end result?

So come join in.... 'The Weekly Story' linky party ~ open from Monday through Wednesday every week..

Ladybird paper weight craft

You've seen a preview of Yva's Garden party in my earlier post....

Today, I'm sharing a little craft that my nine year old ~ Sims and her best friend Esha did on that day... With little stones from the garden that they painted red in colour ...

We then had a little 'ladybird station', where kids got to make their own lady birds using black markers.... as soon as they joined the party...

And I had a little print out of a lady bird in a frame....

That's the lady bird station... The kids got to make a ladybird and then write their names on the back...

During the party... we used these as table decorations... The kids were super pleased to see their work displayed so well.... And it did look gorgeous...

What surprised me the most... was that some kids actually remembered... and came to ask for their ladybirds... And that's why I had the biggest smile ever....

Now what do you think of these cute little lady birds??
