Inspiration....

I’ve been extremely busy the last few weeks and have truck loads of catching up to do!! This weekend is hopefully going to be the first quite weekend in ages… really!! I have a small but growing pile of magazines & books I’ve been hoping to atleast hold & glance at!! As you can tell… I am soooooooooooo waiting for the weekend!

Anyway, I’m at home today…. and glancing through… the February issue of Inside Out. Reading about Hala Al Madfai, owner of H&H Design Mark LLC, a firm that specialises in merging Eastern & Western influences in its interior design and architectural concepts.

The picture reads ‘Tanjia in Dubai Festival City, was H&H Design Mark’s first ever attempt at designing a Moroccan themed restaurant’.

I don’t know if you can tell from this image… but I love the lamps, the turquoise colour & the alphabets hanging from the ceiling. Do you like anything about this image??

Working from Home

I love these long and lean desks situated in front of windows. Makes you want to jump start the work day. Lots of natural light and desk space. There’s room for at least two people to be working or one working and the kids doing homework or crafts. It’s a great use of space and much better than having individual desks.

When we built our house, I had the builder bump out one wall by two feet to accommodate a desk with two workstations. Home Depot built it and I must say I love it, especially all the cabinetry for storage. Right now as I am blogging, my daughter is doing her homework – works well. (I will show a picture once I do some Spring cleaning – I promise!)
