Paper craft for Christmas

The Weekend Wrap Up post was the start to our Advent Calendar… I’m not a huge fan of buying new décor… I love to recycle and reshuffle all my décor, make paper décor and display cards … and attempt at making everything around me Christmasy..

This is a replica (a bad one) of the Advent Calendar that we saw in the store..
You will require –
Green and Yellow Chart paper
Stickers or colour pens
Glue
Scissors

This is how we did it.. I sketched the tree and stars… The girls cut the tree and either coloured the decorations on it or stuck… (There was even a Dora tree) *smiles* Number the yellow starts and then stuck them to the tree. Put them together on a string and voila is our ‘Advent Calendar’

I saw this at Rose’s home last year… This is a test run and the ‘joy’ will change to ‘Simone’ in time for her birthday.

All you need is pretty paper, the more colours the better (I used newspaper) – cut into strips & glue. You simply make looks and stick them together, entangled in the earlier loop.

This is really easy to do… and the kids totally love it… They feel responsible and show off about all the decorations they have made!! I’m linking to all these awesome blog parties happening during the festive season!!

Do you like how it looks in totality??
