I do believe I would cover them with bead board and paint them black. (How great is this foyer?)

I first saw this solution for popcorn ceilings here, but the black paint really takes it up a notch.
Have you ever tackled this project? Curious if it’s really as easy as just applying the bead board directly over the textured ceiling. . . Here’s one article I found, but would love to hear about your experience.
