I’ve decided that the ability to create abstract art would be a good one to have for my clients (who want art from an inexpensive, not-so-well-known artist!) and for another little endeavor that I have in the works.
So, over the weekend, I got out my paintbrush, my kids’ acrylic paints, and went to work. First attempt, not so good:
Something seemed to be missing. (My kids could’ve done a better job—remember these?) I let it sit overnight, studied some other paintings for inspiration and went back to work, painting over it.
Take 2:
Better, right? I’m sure there’s some technique to this, but for my first try at abstract, I don’t think it’s totally terrible. (Can you tell I attempted to make it look more professional by styling it with some accessories I had handy?)
I may have found my new hobby. If for no one else, then just for my own enjoyment :)
