We got our live tree over the weekend. Such a big decision. . .
Our live tree is always a big free-for-all. The kids grab ornaments left and right and there’s no rhyme or reason except to stuff as much as we can on it, including every paper and popsicle stick ornament ever made. Somehow, I always love the way it turns out :)
We also added this to the tree this year:
Have you seen these? Home Depot sent it to me when I participated in the Holiday Style Challenge. It’s called “Mr. Christmas”, and you hook it into your Christmas tree lights. It responds to voice commands and will play Christmas carols with a synchronized light show. A little tacky to look at, yes, but my kids think it’s completely entertaining.
A word of warning, it might scare you to death in the middle of the night. I was up late by myself turning off all of our lights one night and Mr. Christmas decided to start talking to me. Not funny.
The chair that was in the corner of our family room ended up in the corner of the office temporarily. I kind of like how it defines the room:
And, I’m completely enjoying the view from my desk. I’ll miss it when it’s gone:
