The week before Christmas, I was part of a fun conversation about design trends on Kate’s blog, Centsational Girl.
I wouldn’t say I’m intentionally a trendy decorator. I try to worry less about what’s “in” and more about what I just naturally like at the time. In fact, some times I feel like I’m actually behind on the trends. Sometimes, it takes me awhile to warm up to something until I’ve seen it several times over in magazines or in bloggers’ homes. And, by the time I decide I must have “it” somewhere in our house, someone else has decided it’s so last year :) Again, a good reason to just go with what makes you feel happy. Right?
Besides the design trends post itself, I enjoyed reading the comments about what others see as “in” or “out.” There seemed to be some strong feelings against chevron. See, I told you, I’m obviously behind the curve, but happy nonetheless :)
