I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’m in a sad slump after yesterday’s news. We spent last night hanging out here, grateful to be doing normal things and watching a movie with the kids, trying to avoid letting them see the news coverage. I know you can’t keep them in a bubble, but the last thing I want to do is fill their little minds with worry. . .
Although none of these things seem as important as they did earlier this week, I do have a few blog-related items to share with you. Hopefully, they’ll be a happy diversion for you this weekend.
Have you all heard of Homesessive yet? It’s AOL’s new site devoted to all things home and DIY. I’m one of several bloggers who are “curators” for the site. That’s basically a fancy way of saying you’ll see my blog content featured on their site from time to time, and I’ll occasionally be writing posts specifically for Homsessive. There’s lots of ever-changing photos and tips if you have time to stop by.
Earlier this week, I was a guest on the 320 Sycamore blog where I shared a list of my favorite things. Although it didn’t officially make the list, being able to sit down and mindlessly look through Pinterest while drinking my coffee makes me very, very happy. See some of my other favorites here.
I’m sure you’re all long done with your Christmas decorating, right? Right?? Well, just in case, my latest ideabook for Houzz is up and includes 20 great wreaths, some of which are still available for Christmas delivery (and could work well into January…).
Giveaway winner to announce! Congrats to Andrea who wins the $50 store credit to Lulu & Georgia. Have fun shopping!
And, finally, I’ll leave you with the outtakes of our photos before we went to see Santa this week. Is it just me or does there seem to be a common theme anytime we try for a group picture?
In her defense, I’d probably cry, too, if they took my baby away. It was all smiles until we decided to rotate babies:
Enjoy the weekend,
